Textual Embodiments of Feeling
In exploring the structure of feeling arising within the context of the Transformation Programme at Goldsmiths, we have collectively applied an infrastructural lens to illustrate how power is concealed and enacted at the university. Our texts offer a comprehensive survey of the mobilisation of affect within and beyond the confines of Goldsmiths University, revealing the disguised operation of power and identifying the felt instances of resistance that have emerged in response.
All these texts are connected to the university's digital map on the website's homepage, repurposing the official cartography of the university and remapping it in terms of the cognitive mapping described by Frederic Jameson. By navigating the architecture of Goldsmiths through these texts, we have developed insights into how feelings are restructured within these spaces, emanating from them, extending them, and radiating into other areas. These various essays, resulting from our diverse perspectives and partly international backgrounds, form a new cartography of the university.

It all begins with an idea.
